Cristo Rey San Diego High School is preparing students with limited economic means for success. Cristo Rey integrates four years of rigorous academic curriculum with four years of professional work experience, delivering a proven and innovative faith-based approach to education. Students graduate equipped with the knowledge, character and skills required to succeed in college and in life.

 

Applications completed on time will be considered for admission first. Space is limited. Families who complete an application before the priority deadline will receive a FREE uniform polo and a dress shirt upon acceptance and enrollment.

Step 1 - Eligibility
Academic Eligibility:
  • We are seeking students who display
    • Motivation and maturity
    • Openness to spiritual and academic growth
    • Passing grades for current grade level
    • Good discipline and attendance record
  • Students must be rising 9th or 10th graders. We do not accept any other grades at this time. 

Age:
  • Students must be 14 years old by September 1, 2024. Students must be born by September 1, 2010 in order to participate in the Corporate Work Study Program.

Employability:
  • All incoming students entering the 2024-2025 school year must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please contact our office to find out if we can help support your child's specific situation. 

Financial Eligibility
  • The student's family must be financially eligible. The family of the student must be considered as having limited financial resources. A copy of the most recent 2022 tax return, W-2(s) or any state/federal aid documents must be submitted. If you do not file taxes, you must submit an employment letter and any aid documents to show all income earned in the last calendar year. Please see the table below in order to determine if you qualify. Please contact the Admissions Office if you would like more information.

 

Step 2 - Application

Ready to apply?

 

  • Click the link below to access the Finalsite online application form. Select "Create An Account" to submit your online application. A member of our team will then contact you to answer any follow up questions and proceed to the next steps.

  • In the Finalsite application, you will be prompted to add an email address of your current Math & English teacher. You may also email or hand deliver them the following recommendation forms.

  • In the Application portal you will also be prompted to complete a Records Release Form. If you prefer to fill out and sign this form, you can use the following link to download the paper version:

  • Lastly, you will be asked to upload a Financial Eligibility Document for your household.

Please be prepared to upload the most recent tax return, W-2(s) or any state or federal aid documents that show annual income. If you do not file taxes, you may submit an employment letter or another document showing income earned.

Step 3 - Interview

After you have submitted your application and documents, including your financial eligibility document, the Admissions Office will schedule a 30 minute admissions interview with your student and two members of our team. The admissions interviews will be held on Sunday, December 10th from 8AM - 12PM. Admissions decisions will be delivered at the end of January 2024.
