Beth Nicar

Beth is a seasoned development professional with over 13 years of fundraising experience, primarily in education.  She launched her development career as director of corporate and foundation relations at Loyola University Maryland where she learned and fully embraced the Jesuit mission.  After relocating to California in 2011 Beth continued her career in major gifts at UC San Diego and most recently was Senior Director of Philanthropy at Cal State San Marcos.  Beth is a passionate, mission-driven and donor centric fundraiser who believes in the power of philanthropy to transform communities and change lives.  She is active in the community and has served as a board member and volunteer for the Carlsbad Educational Foundation and other local organizations.  Beth lives in Carlsbad with her two kids and enjoys cooking, reading and being a “baseball mom” and “gymnastics mom”.
