Maria began working in with Cristo Rey in 2007, when she served as a Jesuit Volunteer at Cristo Rey Jesuit in Pilsen, Chicago. After serving for two years, she moved to California to support the opening of Immaculate Conception Academy, the Cristo Rey school in San Francisco. In the years since, she has specialized in communications, events, and fund development for high-impact non-profit organizations. She was the first employee of Cristo Rey San Diego and served as Feasibility Study Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and earned her Master of Library and Information Science at Wayne State University.
