Rafael Quevedo

Rafael (Rafa) Quevedo is a San Diego native. He has a B.A. in Social Science from SDSU and is pursuing an M.Div. at the Franciscan School of Theology. Rafa has been involved in youth and young adult ministry for over 10 years, working at different parishes within the diocese of San Diego (St. Catherine Laboure, Good Shepherd, & Guardian Angels).

Rafa has worked with the Office for Youth & Young Adult Ministry to plan and execute San Diego Youth Day, Camp Emmaus High School Leadership Camp, Diocesan Young Adult Retreat, Theology on Tap, and Abide Worship Nights. He was a facilitator at the Diocese of San Diego Synod for Young Adults, a member of the Diocese of San Diego Pastoral Juvenil committee and young adult representative in the Diocesan Young Adult Leadership Team.

His ministry experience has given him the blessing to work with Asian and Hispanic communities in San Diego. Through serving with Instituto Fe y Vida, he has had the opportunity to work with and train pastoral Juvenil leaders from around the United States and Latin America.

Trough the Corporate Work Study Program at Cristo Rey San Diego, Rafa hopes he can accompany young people to discover their gifts and talents for higher education, the modern workplace, and most importantly to bring Christ to the people and culture around them.

When he is not ministering, he is with his wife and two kids enjoying a movie, at the park playground, or strolling the kids through the neighborhood in their wagon.
