Sean Barlow

A native of Southern California, Sean Barlow was raised by British parents who immigrated to the United States and settled down in San Diego. Sean attended St. Mary Magdalene Catholic elementary school, The Bishop’s School for high school, and California State University Maritime Academy for undergrad, where he received a B.A. in Global Studies and Maritime Affairs. Sean recently continued his studies at Loyola Marymount University, earning an M.A in Urban Education and Administration.


Sean has over 10 years of experience in the Insurance and Surety, Education, and the Water Safety industries; working as an Insurance and Surety Account Manager for Roanoke Insurance Group (Insurance and surety solutions for transportation and logistics providers), as a High School Modern World History Teacher and Campus Minister, and as a San Diego and California State Parks Seasonal Beach Lifeguard.


In his free time, Sean enjoys playing sports. He was a member of the Cal Maritime Water Polo and Rugby teams from 2013-2017. More recently he enjoys competing in 5K runs, 1 mile swims, and kayak races. He is excited to be a member of the Cristo Rey Work Study team and work with students to become prepared for higher education and purposeful future careers.
