Joey Aszterbaum

Hello! My name is Joey Aszterbaum, and students like to call me “Mr. A.” I teach Social Studies (history, government, economics) and have a Masters degree in Education. I am excited to be part of Cristo Rey San Diego because of the unique mission and vision; the wonderful and hard-working students; and the caring and dedicated staff. My wife Keisha is a nurse, and we live in Oceanside with a pup and two daughters. I play guitar and sing, and I am passionate about movies and the arts. My faith helps me see education and the subjects I teach in a unique light. Every person deserves respect, love, dignity, and growth. I am grateful for the opportunity to play my part as a teacher at Cristo Rey!
