Born and raised in San Diego, Maria Diez has lived in the same community her entire life. Maria has worked with Juvenile Court & Community Schools (San Diego County Office of Ed.) as a School Clerk, Teachers Assistant, and Recreation Leader II at Memorial/Skyline Recreation Center (City of SD) and Our Lady’s School in the After School Program (grades PK-8th).
Maria feels very blessed to be given the opportunity to work at Cristo Rey San Diego High School. She has met some amazing co-workers and students that have made an impact on her life. She is currently attending National University working on her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. Growing up Maria always wanted to attend Catholic School but it was not in her family’s financial reach so when it was time for her children to start Pre-K, she chose a Catholic education for them.
When Maria is not at work, she’s at home enjoying her time with her 3 children and pets. Her children are Jesse, Delilah and Abigail. Maria enjoys traveling, a good book and family. Religion is a big part of her family life and she’s very happy that her children have embraced the Catholic faith into their life. Last but not least Maria is a Proud Cristo Rey parent herself. Viva Cristo Rey!
