I am so blessed and honored to have been selected to serve as the Principal at Cristo Rey San Diego High School. I am looking forward to meeting all of you in the near future and am excited about all the great things we will do this year!
As someone who has served in Catholic schools for my entire professional career, the prospect of becoming a part of Cristo Rey San Diego High School was incredibly exciting. In my past 13 years of Catholic Education, I taught for 3 years in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and for 3 years in the Diocese of San Diego. After teaching, I have served 7 years in administration in the Diocese of San Diego, with my last 6 years coming as the Principal at St. Columba Catholic School.
Stepping into this role, I can already sense that this upcoming year is going to be absolutely fantastic! The Cristo Rey San Diego community is thriving and I am looking forward to coming in and supporting the successes that are already occurring, while also navigating us into our very bright future.
This year, we will be having our accreditation visit from WCEA (Western Catholic Education Association) and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). Our faculty and staff will be working hard leading up to our visit in March to summarize the areas of strengths and growth over the last 4 years while also setting up our Educational Improvement Plan, which will set our goals for the next 3 years. When the visiting committee arrives, I am confident that they will fall in love with our fantastic community and see all the good that is happening on and off our campus.
Finally, I am looking forward to interacting with each of you. I am here to support each and every one of you so that we can work in partnership to have the very best year possible!
