Class of 2026 Earns 100% Four-Year University Acceptance, Again

Feb 25, 2026

As we prepare to celebrate our third graduating class, Cristo Rey San Diego continues to deliver outcomes rooted in strong academics, daily college readiness, and real-world work experience.

Cristo Rey San Diego High School is proud to announce that the Class of 2026 has officially earned 100% acceptance to four-year universities. This milestone marks the second year in a row our graduating class has reached full four-year acceptance and a significant moment as we prepare to celebrate only our third graduating class. Our founding Class of 2024 earned 97% college acceptance, and each year since has continued to build momentum.

This achievement reflects a college preparatory model designed to support students from day one, with clear expectations, daily structure, and consistent coaching toward college success. Central to that work is Cristo Rey’s College Access and Success Initiative, spearheaded by our College Counseling Program. Students participate in daily college and career readiness classes, receive individualized guidance through the admissions process, and build the habits needed to thrive once they arrive on campus.

“When people hear 100% acceptance, sometimes they think the work is done, but for our school it’s really a snapshot of everything that leads to that moment,” said Lizeth Araiza, College Counselor. “Our students are doing the work every day in their College and Career Readiness class, asking questions, meeting deadlines, and pushing through challenges.

Cristo Rey San Diego’s academic program is reinforced by rigorous coursework that prepares students for college-level expectations. The school recently earned College Board AP School Honor Roll Platinum recognition, reflecting a sustained focus on both access and achievement.

Just as important, Cristo Rey students build confidence and professional skills beyond the classroom through our Corporate Work Study Program. Students work alongside career professionals in real workplaces, gaining hands-on experience that strengthens communication, time management, and self-advocacy. The mentorship and expectations students experience on the job reinforce what it means to show up prepared, take feedback well, and think ahead.

As we continue celebrating the Class of 2026, we are also excited to highlight the expanding list of universities recognizing Cristo Rey student talent and potential. This year, we are celebrating both first-time acceptances and a stronger acceptance presence at: Santa Clara University, Villanova University, Boston University, Illinois Institute of Technology, Saint Louis University, Howard University, Saint John Fisher University, and Clark University. These universities are being added to the more than 90 universities where Cristo Rey San Diego alumni have previously been accepted.

This momentum is also reflected in growing demand for Cristo Rey. As we prepare to guide seniors toward their next steps, our Admissions team is currently reviewing our largest applicant pool to date for the Class of 2030, with more applicants than available seats.

In the weeks and months ahead, Cristo Rey will share additional announcements and senior spotlights as students finalize decisions, scholarships, and next steps and as our community continues to celebrate what sustained investment makes possible.
